Handmade perfumery
Fragrance oils are wonderful additions to handcrafted perfumes. For colognes designed to be applied to freshly shaved skin, a maximum dilution of 2.40% is appropriate. This applies to both Eau de Toilettes and fine fragrances. For products designed for unshaven skin, you can be more liberal. The maximum dilution is 32.78%.
If you decide to use Cherry Blossom Fragrance Oil in deodorant or antiperspirant products, the maximum dilution is 2.09%. This applies to roll-on or body spray products.
Body care
According to IFRA regulations, the maximum safe dilution for fragrance oil Cherry Blossom is set at 19.01% when used in body creams, foot care products, insect repellents, or talcum powder. Hand care products, including sanitizers, have a maximum dilution of 4.81%, and facial preparations have been reduced to 3.16%.
Soaps and Bath Fragrances
The fragrance oil Cherry Blossom is well-suited for bath products. The maximum dilution for soaps, shampoos, or any other IFRA Category 9 product is 16.45%. This category also covers laundry pretreatments and cleaning products.
The maximum dilution for making an aerosol spray for the room or any other item that is propelled using a pump is 32.78%.
Candles
Fragrance oils are far superior to essential oils for candle making due to their stronger aroma. Candles and related scented articles fall under Category 12 of IFRA safety standards. Cherry Blossom Fragrance Oil has no usage restrictions for category 12. Feel free to use as much or as little as your nose pleases.
IFRA guidelines for maximum dilution
The maximum dilution of this fragrance oil depends on the products you plan to make.
It's important to note that the maximum dilutions are solely for safety reasons, based on the oil's chemical composition. Sometimes these are quite high because all the components are relatively benign. These amounts aren't necessarily recommendations for how much to use in your recipe. They can make the product smell too strong or prohibitively expensive to produce. As long as you stay below the recommended limits, you can be as generous or thrifty as you like. Use more, use less. We'll leave the creative stuff to you.
